Ginny Chung has provided us with the following outline that describes the information she has available, and will make available to anyone via email

Based on state, there is a listing of all dioceses within that state. Based on the queries I've already been getting, some of these states have 10 dioceses. Each diocese has different rules and fees for research. Some diocese have large research staffs whereas other's have none. Some are open to the public whereas others are not.

What I've been responding with, is:

  • The address
  • Sometimes the phone number
  • If there is a fee
  • The Catholic newspaper for that diocese

    Most often the diocese will request the writer to contact the parish directly, but if you need help in determining what parish that is, the diocese can help.

    If you send me a state which has quite a few dioceses, I will ask you to try and narrow it down from the list of supplied dioceses.

    To obtain the above information, send an email request to gchung@mindspring.com and supply the state of interest and the name of the diocese, if known.
    You will receive the requested information via email.
