Don't know if I can be of help, but consider the following:
There were four McGreevy families identified in a 1743[?] listing in North County Roscommon, between Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon. I know a little about a line from Ed to Cornelius, thence to another Cornelius, a Patrick, then my own grandfather, father, and so forth. Most emigrated to Hamilton OH in 1840, before the Famine, though a son, Owen, stayed behind. One of his sons emigrated to Indiana ca. 1880. His grandson, Michael McGreevy, now deceased, wrote an excellent family history. Perhaps you would find something of use there. I have my own copy. Finally, I was in Moylurg in Jul-Aug 97. I am, with others, planning a family reunion for 2000 or 2001, and I hope you would be interested to attend.
There are only a few hundred McGreevy's by Michael's count, so count yourself lucky. My wife, Shaun Murphy, has little hope of tracking down a direct line to the past.
