Hi my gran came from leitrim. carrick on shannon area. I think she had a large family maybe with an angela and a margaret as sisters. the family had a small holding near the river ( maybe).my father has told me that his mums mum worked in the Bush hotel which was on the burn road. ( if his memory is correct. Also something new has come up. She may have also worked for Holman hunt ( maybe spelt right) the artist. Can anyone help with further info or somewhere else i can look. cheers pj

Paul, Quayle working for Bush? Sounds like our US VP and President of 1989 - 1993. But you need the Bush Hotel on Main St., Carrick on Shannon. They are in the phonebook. Also, you need Quaile (or Quail) and you'll find some in Kiltoghert Parish (which includes Carrick on Shannon) in 1901 Census here. Sometimes this name was also McQuaile or McQuail.
