I had family that lived in Rahrabeg, does any one know the name of the cemetary that people from there would be buried. Thanks Tom

Tom,

Moore Catholic parish and Moore Civil parish have the same boundaries.

Look at the Moore Catholic parish map at
http://www.leitrim-roscommon.com/MAPS/moore_tl.html

Then look for graveyards in Moore Catholic parish
http://www.roscommoncoco.ie/burialgrounds/search.aspx

See my post dated 7 February 2007 on this website titled
“Amazing new website County Roscommon Council – Graveyards” including the notes at the end of the post.

Notes by jph
A. It is hoped the County Council will add the Civil Parish for each graveyard.

B. The Map grid references listed for Killukin Old Graveyard is 192839 297899.

To be of use to Family and Local Historians, this should be altered to read 928 978; the grid reference as shown on Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Discovery Series map number 33.

Read my recent post titled “Townlands today”. on this website titled
