Looking for ANY information on following Murray's: Michael, brothers Richard, Peter and John, born Loughlynn in early 1800's. Father Thomas, mother possibly Mary nee Flanagan.
Michael went to Staffordshire, married Catherine Whalan (1853) and became a coal miner, moving to Durham in the 1860's. Richard and his wife Catherine (also from Frenchpark) moved to Hull. Peter and his wife Margaret (?) disappear after the 1851 census (Skipton, Yorkshire). Have info about a John Murray, same period in Congleton Cheshire, but cannot prove relationship.
Family lore states that the family was en-route to the USA.
Any help much appreciated! |

Thank you for the information. Are there any other entries post 1817 for this family? I am also wondering if Thomas and Mary left Ireland too, or was it just the sons - if this is the right family!!!
Much appreciated.
