I'm looking for a detailed map of the town of Cloone,
in the Barony of Mohill ,County Leitrim. Does anyone
Know how to contact the Ordnance so I can inquire?
My ultimate aim is to see Annaghmaconway and
Gortnalougher where my G-G-grandparents lived.

thanks
Pat

The Irish Ordnance Survey can be contacted as follows:

Ordnance Survey
Phoenix Park
Dublin 8
Phone 0353-1-8206439
Fax: 0353-1-8204156

I am not aware of a Web Site or an Email address. If you want a detailed map that will show townlands it will cost about 44.00 Irish pounds. An alternative may be to find a library that stocks Irish Ordnance survey maps.

Good luck

John

The Library of Congress has copies of early Ordnance Survey maps. Look up the townland in the Alphabetical Index to Irish Towns and Townlands to get the map page number for your town and include the page number and the county in a query to the Library of Congress. They'll send a very large xerox copy for about $9.00 - but it takes awhile. Kate

It's around the corner next door to "lee Lawless's" or "Grant Tavern"

I would like to know, what the royalties would be on a redrawn road map based on OS material, at a size of A1. Estimated print run of 10000 units
