Hello. I am researching the family of Andrew COBURN, one of three brothers who arrived in Ireland with Cromwell's armie and were given land in County Leitrim. However, this COBURN family alledgedly came from the parish of Mohill

Andrew, a weaver, alledgedly married one Ellen GRAY and had six children with her, one who was called Ann. When Ellen died, Andrew remarried a Rebecca WALLACE, sister of John WALLACE who emigrated to Upper Canada (Nepean Township near Ottawa-or By-town as it was know then) in the early 1800s
Rebecca and three children, Robert, James, and Catherine, and step-daughter, Ann, emigrated to Canada in 1831, landing at Quebec City. Later they went to Montreal and made their way to Rebecca's brother's home in Nepean Township. The sons built homesteads in Pembroke Township, Renfrew County, Upper Canada (Ontario)
. Our COBURNs are descendant from the James COBURN line, although I have contact with a descendant of the Robert COBURN line.
Are there any people researching this family in Ireland? Are there any descendants of the Andrew COBURN /Ellen GRAY union?? With five children remaining in Ireland, I would think there would be.
Please contact me by e-mail.
