: : Hi,

: : I am looking for other McGees that originated in the Leitrim area. My grandfather was born near Drumkeernan in 1885. I still have relatives in that area, including my Great Uncle Frank who is 94 years old. Hope to hear from you.

: : God Bless

: Hello, Sean,
: I am also researching McGee family lines, but I've only just begun. My McGee line includes my gg-grandfather, James McGee, who married Mary Murphy. One of their children, my g-grandmother Mary E. McGee, born circa 1867 in Providence, RI, d. May 4, 1941, age 74 in Bristol, RI, married James E. Hogan, born possibly in Stonington, CT, died March 31, 1944 in Wilburn NJ, occupation: station engineer. They had at least eight children: James Joseph (b. March 10, 1896, d. April 1, 1969), Bartholomew A. (b. 1902, d. Dec. 1, 1930), Mary (Noonan), Mildred (Manning), Jennie (McCloughy), Ursula (McCarthy), William, Edward B.(born 1916, d. 1864). This is all I know so far, but plan to do some research this weekend at the RI State Archives. Do you think there could be any relations? I'm not sure what county in Ireland they came from, or when. I'll contact you again when I get further info on my McGees. My genealogy can be seen on our website: http://www.saturn.net/~davehurd/

: Good luck with your research,
: Beth Hurd
