There were other surnames who remained behind and many who perished in the famine and are buried in a cemetery at the townlands. Do you have any information about the surname of Geenty? We have no knowledge except for an old aunt who stated we were from Soloway firth in Scotland. Please send information to us. Thank you.

I originally came from the Parish of Kilglass and I remember some years ago a lady called Maureen Geenty who I believe came from the townland of Slatta Beg. She died a spinster. I will try and find our from my parents if she has any living relatives and get back to you
