I am looking for information and connections to the family of Robert MAGUIRE, found in Lugnafaughery, Killasnet Parish, Co. Leitrim in the Tithe Applotment and in 1846 letter. Robert and wife, name unknown, had at least 6 children - John, Thomas, Robert, Francis, Mary, and William and perhaps a Charles and Amos. Sons John ( to Georgia, USA), Thomas (New Orleans, La to San Francisco, CA, USA), Robert ( Pa, USA), Francis (Upper Canada), and William (New Orleans, LA?) immigrated in the 1830's-1840's. Daughter Mary remained in Lugnafaughery and was married in the 1830's to a Hugh ROSS. The family was in some way related to the PENNELLS - most of whom have been found in Fermanagh. I have a wonderful letter written by father Robert to son Robert in Pa. in 1846 that gives family information as well as thoughts and fears about the potatoe crop. I would like to hear from others researching this family and would be happy to share info.
Thanks
