I don't know if we are related or if I'm even doing this right but, my grandmother was born in Drumshanbo and her name was Mary Katherine
McPadden, she came to America in about 1927 and married my Grand father Joseph Martin. From what I have been able to find out she was
sponsored by the Travers family. Somehow the McQueeny name also comes into play. We visited Drumshanbo several years ago and met my dads
uncle Johnny, he was the post man for Drumshanbo. I have been trying to fid out more and I understand my fathers cousin Pat is also trying
to put together a family tree. Let me know something via e-mail as I am not real sure how I found this page. thanks, Patrick

: I am looking for ancestors of Myles McPadden born Drumkerrin Co Leitrim about1829,Married Bridget Clune in New Zealand 1873, died NZ 1913.
: He had at least one brother and possibly a second brother or sister who went to America.
: The brother had at least one child, Mary Caufield(nee McPadden) who was living in New York city in 1950.
: The other brother or sister had a child Anne Aherne also living in Brooklyn NY city in 1950.
: Myles also had a sister, Bridget McParland living in Co Leitrim at the time of his death in 1913 to whom he left a small amount of money in his will.
: I have not benn able to identify her in the 1901 census.
: If any of these details tie in with your research I would like to hear from you. Thanks
