David, A Michael Fanning from Doughill came to R.I. in the 1860's with his family. He ran a grocery store on High St(later Westminster St.) and along with his brothers helped in the construction of St Mary's Church. His Father was John Fanning:his mother Mary Hanley. His sisterWinnie was my ggrandmother. She married James Fallon a neighbour from Doughill in 1869 and another sister Rose I think married an Andrew Gannon. Other brother married a Cox who was the daughter of James Fallon's sister,. Mary whose husband was JohnCox.There was an area called" shoefly" in the section of Onleyville where many of this Roscommon crowd lived. Winnie Fanning and James Fallon had a home on Oak St. Hope this is some help and connection.Slan Seamus Fallon
