I am interested in a Gavican family that lived in Weakfield. My GGG-Grandmother was a Bridget Gavican born about 1844. Her parents were Thomas Gavican and Bridget Gibbons.

Bridget Gavican married Patrick Noone in 1870. [He was the son of James Noone and Mary Scally.] The following Gavicans were Sponsors for her children's Baptisms and, for now, I am going under the assumption they were siblings: Margaret Gavican, Thomas Gavican and Ann Gavican.

Bridget Gavican Noone lived in Coolshaghtena and died May 13, 1896. She had the following children:

Margaret Noone, married Edward Connaughton.
Mary Anne Noone, married Patrick Fallon.
Bridget Mary Noone, married a man I think was named Farrell.
Kate Noone, also married a man I think was named Farrell who was a brother of her sister's husband.
Eliza Noone, married Patrick Dowling

I would be very interested in finding out more if anyone has more information, or is a descendant.

Eugene.

In Relation to your post concerning the Connaughtons and Gavigans of Weekfield.

There are still Gavigans and Connaughtons living in Weekfield and I believe that they are the families you are looking for.
Drop me an email at esb@oceanfree.net and I can put you in contact with them.

Regards
Liam
