March 2007

Dear Friends,

I wanted you all to know that the sale of the Roscommon Volunteer book, They Put the Flag a-Flyin'
Roscommon Volunteers 1916-1923 has gone extremely well. From January to July of this past year, my husband and I worked on additional material to include in a 2nd edition. We corrected little mistakes found in the first edition, included the song written for the launch as well as 50 more photos, and added 22 extra pages of information about County Mayo (Mayo Addendum). The 36 page triple-columned index also had two additional pages added to accommodate all the the new Mayo names.

For those of you who have purchased the first edition, there will be a posting on our company's website of all mistakes. Under the heading of CORRECTIONS AND ADDITIONS, you will be able to find a listing of all the errors in that first edition. If you have the capability of printing it out, you can do so free of charge and attach it to your first edition copy. Simply go to the website:

generationpublishing.com

Also the newspapers in County Roscommon are going to run the CORRECTIONS AND ADDITIONS in their weekly issues in serial form. Roscommon Champion; the new newspaper, and Roscommon People will participate.

The second edition was printed in Michigan in mid-January and is now being shipped to Ireland. It will be on Irish bookshelves by the first of March. It is a phenomenal tribute to the men and women of Connaught that their story has been so well received. Their deeds, sacrifices, and spirit indeed live on
