Jane B,
Many thanks for the prompt reply. Yes this is the same Owen Gilbane born 27.12.1877 from Minkill. He worked as a tailor in Carrick on Shannon but appears to have left the town before 1911. My Granduncle Malachy Beirne had a tailoring business in Carrick on Shannon across from the R.C Church. He died in 1935- married ,no family. I can see from records he was very friendly with Owen Gilbane. Owen was bestman at my Granduncle's wedding in 1909. They attended meetings/functions together. I am wondering what became of Owen. Did he go to the US,did he marry, had he a family. There are Gilbanes still living at Minkill, who are relatives of Owen. Did not know about him until I told them, unable to help me. God Bless, David |

Jane B,
This is my second message to you. Has Colleen Conlon an e mail address, can I contact her as she may be able to help regarding Owen Kilbane. Are you a relative of Owen Kilbane. I reside in Sligo, Ireland. My Granduncle went to Carrick On Shannon from Roscommon. You are investigating a Corcoran fmaily from Boyle. Have they anything to do with a townland called Curnaveagh.Boyle.
God Bless
