Looking for any family information on my grandparents Patrick Mooney who was married to Rose McMorrow. They had 4 children, John, Mae, James, and Bart (my dad). They left for New York in May 1930.

Thanks

There is an immigation record at the Ellis Island site for Patrick Mooney and Rose Anne Mooney arriving on the Lusitania from Queenstown (Cobh, County Cork) on October 30, 1908.
Thier contact was Rose Anne's brother John McMorrow, 1313 Second Avenue, NYC.
It also appears, from that record, that Patrick had been in the Uspreciously in 1903 while Rose Anne had previously been there in 1896.
Patrick's occupation is noted as Saloonkeeper and Rose Anne's as Housekeeper.
Patrick was 32 (born ~1876) at the time and Rose Anne was 30 (born ~1878).
Both their records were stamped Non Immigrant Alien whoch I believe means they were not emigrating permanently.
Thier listed releative or friend in Ireland was Hugh Maguire of Glenfarne.
Patrick was listed at 5'11" which was very tall for that time period and Rose Anne was 5'6".

The ellis Island Archives only contain immigrant entries from 1892-1924, so you would have to look elsewhere for immigration info for 1930. maybe someone else can point you to that.

Good luck,

Brian McGloin
